Overview

Honduras is confronted with a host of challenges, including natural hazards and political and social conflicts - all intensified by the effects of climate change, forced displacement, migration and the COVID-19 pandemic. It also faces high chronic rates of violence that are well above the Latin American and world average, even though there has been a notable reduction in these rates over the last five years.

Our work

We aim to support the Honduran Red Cross Society in to enhancing accountability systems in Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) operations by co-creating a methodology to systematically collect and utilise community feedback in DREF operations to gather actionable feedback that informs decision-making, improves programme adaptation, and reinforces community-led action.
