Our work /

Our approach

Through agile and contextualised research approaches, we support and challenge aid actors to do better. We’ve spent over a decade building trust and refining methodologies that make community voice robust and actionable. We operate with independence – free from implementer or donor bias.

Using evolving methodologies that draw from co-design, customer satisfaction research and polling, we speak to people in crisis and find out what they think about how the support available to them and the solutions they see. We emphasise participatory approaches that enable communities to shape, own and make sense of the research.

We do not conduct needs assessments but seek to understand people’s experiences of and priorities for overall support, as well as their own strategies and capacities.

Research

  • Using mixed methods, we ask people affected by crisis about their experiences and priorities for more effective support.

Discuss

  • We facilitate discussions with affected communities, civil society and response actors at all levels, to make sense of research findings, and encourage action based on community input.
