Want to know what's really happening in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)?
The recent Ebola outbreak has once again put the DRC in international headlines for all the wrong reasons. But for decades, Congolese communities have been solving impossible problems themselves. They have always been the first to respond and the first to rebuild.
With Nonviolent Peaceforce, we're bringing together expert thinkers, actors and advocates in the DRC to talk about:
→ why rights, response and recovery have to be considered together
→ what communities are doing to navigate crises
→ what accountability looks like when communities set the terms
The event will take place in French and English, with simultaneous translation.
